Granting specific tech on Sponsor/Commander does not work

Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.
When I create a sponsor with the mod editor and I grant the sponsor (or even the commander) the tech "Topology AI" and I load the game with such sponsor/commander the tech is not granted (all the other techs that I gave him are granted, but this specific one not).

Can you replicate the issue?
Yes, when I recreate a mod with a commander/sponsor and I grant him the same tech it still doesn't work (i.e., it still isn't granted).

Euh, can you see the files? Because when I send them they don't show up.

Otherwise create a custom commander and grant him the tech; then load the game with the mod and you'll see the problem. It cannot possibly be on my end because I reinstalled the game and everything.

You ought to be able to attach those files here, just as you did the screenshot in your OP?

Last I checked it doesn't like .log files, probably the same for .lua @ DazedMaestro you can rename .ext to .txt and it'll upload

Ok, yeah lua files don't load; I'll rename the files to txt.

Worked fine here (started new game, picked your sponsor, and all the techs were unlocked)

I did that too and "Topology AI" is still not granted; it has to be researched.

I'm reinstalling the game to see if it changes anything.
Edit: after reinstalling and everything the problem persists.

Well no, that one wouldn't be researched. You didn't include it in items.lua

Crap I gave the version were it was not included. Here's the one where it is included and it still does not work.

I used the mod editor who for some reason put the space, so in a future update you guys could correct this.
