Menu disappears on Mac

Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.
None of the menu icons show up a few minutes into any new game. The build menus, research menus, etc. all just disappear. They reappear if I hover over the spot where they are supposed to be but I still am not sure where everything is.
2015 iMac 3.1 GHz
16GB
Intel Iris Pro Graphics 6200
