Description
RC Vehicles not using tunnels

What is your game version?
227,923

Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.
I want my RC vehicles to use the tunnels to transport stuff here and back, but they won't. I'm fairly certain using the tunnels would be more efficient, so why don't they? Is this a feature or a bug?

Can you replicate the issue?

My RC explorers and transports will use the tunnels, but my RC Rover (drone hub rover) will not. Kinda annoying, since I have a high elevation area that I can explore but cannot build up there due to no drones.

I am having the same issue.
But i see the behaviour with all movement.
rc explorer that normal moves or explores.
collector rover that trades, moves or return after a collect
Hub rover that moves.

They all drive around my tunnel.

I've had both cargo and science rovers ignore a tunnel when they've been told to move to a place in a canyon and instead drive halfway around the map and get stuck on the point of the cliff closest to their destination. The first time this happened my science rover had run out of batteries in the canyon, I'd told another rover to go charge it and realised a little while later rather than go down the tunnel to get to its destination it had got stuck miles away following an impossible route and had also run out of batteries.

Have the same issue. Manually clicking on the tunnel to send them in works but 9 times out of 10 they ignore tunnels when the AI routes (trade route, load/unload ect) if there is a valid path without the tunnel (which is much longer)

Path finder AI is very poor at present to the point it is a bug, for example, I had a map which was divided across the middle (upper and lower levels) I build the base in the centre and placed a tunnel to connect the levels. The rovers always started from this location on this map (next to the tunnel). However, if I selected a region in the corner or off centre it would miss the tunnel and wander off to the corner of the map and get stuck even though the tunnel was right next to it? So I built another two tunnels at the locations of the sticking points and this helped but did not solve its issues. It would then take the longest rout to the location. The other problem is the rovers will not use multiple tunnels, I had a series of tunnels across the map to save on piping and cabling issues and the Rovers will only take the first one (sometimes), but they do not for some reason use more than one tunnel even if it is right next to it when it comes out, this is a big problem as it usually means the demise of your rover and battery power.
