Renegades broke spire build spot

Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.
I was building a Sanitorium as the spire building in my (so far only) Mega Dome when a message apeared that Renegades had destroyed it. I clicked over to the building, it gave the option to rebuild/scrap as with any destroyed building, I picked 'rebuild'.

At this point the entire building vanished. There is no clickable in the center of the dome, no building outline no resource piles, no drones delivering anything. I can't build a replacement, though, because trying something new out of the build menu comes up with the "objects blocking" error message (picture attached). The 'blocking' tiles seems to shift randomly when i change camera angle or building rotation, but there's always at least one. (It's not just the Sanitorium, either, it does this with any of my unlocked Spire buildings)

Further addendum: replicated! Renegades struck again, same dome, this time with a still-under-construction Electronics Store. Same behavior with the disappearing rebuild (and not being able to build anything there afterwards.)

I'm now on Sol 261 (ie, ~100 sols later) and the electronics store has managed to get itself built at some point in the interim, without intervention from me in any way. Still no sign of a Spire.
