Description
Rovers going back and forth through tunnels

Latest

Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.
Before the last patch rover pathing wasn't great, but at least they didn't behave like this. Now when I order a rover to do something that involves going through a tunnel sometimes it gets stuck in an infinite loop, going back and forth through the tunnel. It enters from one side, gets out from the other and immediately goes back in, only to do the same thing on the other side.

Can you replicate the issue?
Not really. Sometimes it happens, sometimes it doesn't.

This is a pathing bug. I had this on the map where the high ground is like a sideways "U". The rovers were constantly going in and out of the tunnel, so I built a second tunnel to the other side of the map and they resumed pathing correctly. I assume they think the path is shorter to go straight down to the south, but there's no access from the center of the map, so they go north, and get stuck in a pathing loop.

Same problem here on the same map.

I have confirmed it on 3 different maps myself. It does happen where there is more than one path it can take, it seems to have issues with making a choice, especially where there is 2 tunnels it can take.

This sounds like whats happening. I had this happen and I manually moved the rover a ways away from the tunnel. Told it to go to the far location I originally selected and it turns back around and did the back and forth in the tunnel again. A mixed signal on the quickest path seems to be the best explanatoin. After moving it far away from the tunnel I got it to go where I wanted so after it had a better path things worked out.
