Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.
Game freezes around 280 or 280. No specific action immediately before freeze. Have tried multiple times, including going back to saves 2 sols back.

Can you replicate the issue?
Yes, every time. Ctrl-AltDel to end task (since it is frozen). Restart game. Restart save. Wait.
Unfortunately I cannot find my save game files. I am on Windows 11, and my Steam games is moved to a separate folder. In that folder is Steamlibrary/steamapps/common/surviving mars but in this folder are Artbook, DLC, Licenses, Local, Modtools, Movies, OST, Packs, Wallpapers but no save folder. In the local folder there is only a Voices folder. If you can direct me how to find the save file, I will be happy to attach it.
When I open the "mods' menu, I do get a list of errors in the lower left, which I have attached.

The thing in the screenshot is definitely harmless and expected on new game. Can you attach some log and save game?

I looked for hours for the savegame..then realized it was in Steamcloud, not my computer. Here it is. Sol280(4) should freeze within minutes of starting the game.

I've now gone back 7 sols to see if I could get a game that wouldn't freeze. Went a few sols then same thing happens. I don't see any specific even or action of mine that triggers it. It happens when i'm moving the mouse around, or just sitting watching - not when I click on something. Very repeatable. I have half a dozen other save games where it will trigger if that helps. Here is another, where I went back to Sol 173 and after 3 more Sols (autosave at Sol 176), it starts freezing again. Every time I load Sol 176 now, it freezes within a minute. Very frustrating, as I finally felt like I had the game in mid terraforming in a good sustainable place.

One thought - the first time I had a freeze was after the "Flat Mars Society" event on Sol 271. Afterwards though I do not see the character Quantum, nor do I ever see any outcome from this event. Perhaps there is a bug tied to this event?

There is a parallel thread where someone suggested save file size close to 50 MB was an issue (?). Mine are between 46-49 MB.

My save is 57MB sol 799 and has the same behaviour. I also had the flat mars society quest earlier.
Have included the crash dump, save and log.

I don't think it is actually tied to file size. Instead I think it is either tied to an event that triggers when you hit a certain population (like Flat Mars) or number of domes or population, or something else that is linked to how many people you have. I had a very consistent freeze around Sol 175-180, always after Flat Mars Society event. I went back 10 Sols and started again, but this time kept my population around 1500. I've played another 100 Sols without problem, and now have 3 of the 4 terraforming parameters at 100%. I haven't seen the Flat Mars Society event (which tells me it must be population driven).

With this continuing game, the save file is 48MB, so larger than some of my other freezing files (45-49MB). I don't think it is just file size.

Other factors: Initially I built two domes to give me plenty of room, but then did not build any more. I've built and replaced buildings. The other thing I did do though is move all population out of the underground, so I supposed it could be tied to that. But it really feels like it is triggered around the Flat Mars society event.

The second one doesn't work either, but I eventually git it off the google drive, I has to renaming it to the proper file name format before the game would see it

It did hang on me too. @ChoGGi_2 I don't recall this as a known issue, have you seen it?

Same to me, but I was able to get it off the google drive link in post #9. I had to rename it to India Sol 280 (4).savegame.sav before the game would see it though.

Edit: Deleting all the rockets got me to Sol 282 without issues (interestingly enough the flat mars storybit just happened)
Edit2: Deleting the landing rocket (before it lands and unloads pass) seems to have stopped the crash Akasha #3
