Description
Steam workshop mods and Paradox mods
Windows
SteamWhat is your game version?
249143Do you have Space Race installed?
YesPlease explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.
The steam workshop mods that I've subscribe to don't show up in the mod manger anymore only the Paradox Mods are shown and the ones that I've subscribe are shown the mod manger and I get this error: Warning "The Mod "???' has been disabled due to content restrictions" after the game loads. I get this on a lot of mods that are installed and activated because none of my save games will load without the mods installed because of "missing content" error! A very big issue and conflict I think! Can you replicate the issue?
Only If you log into my account on Steam and load the gameAttachments

They certainly show there for me. I'm not sure what could cause that for you. When did they last show there?

You're not in a Steam beta version perhaps? Steam cloud sync is enabled?

Worked find when I had windows 10 installed on my computer, No Steam beta versions, Yes I have steam cloud sync is enabled

I had to do a compete reinstall of windows because of to many different blue screens after starting up my PC and the only version that I could reinstall is my original version that came with the computer which was version Win 8.1

It would be great to have a separate buttons for the mod manager for both Steam and Paradox but still work together

Well Paradox seem to be really really poor at responding to bug reports.

Short of unsubscribing and re-subscribing to each of the mods I dunno what else to suggest. Windows 8.1 is an absolutely awful OS, I'd also suggest getting back onto Windows 10. If you cannot install it because of bluescreens or whatever you have bigger problems than running Surviving Mars.

I found out why window 10 was giving blue screens on win 10, it had something do with my network system properties was being corrupted all the time after I was online for sometime/awhile. Some online system program was changing it all the time, because I was also getting on win 8.1 too and now I had fix this issue and no more blue screens, but all my User AppData file that was on win 10 was completely deleted when, Microsoft told me to do a complete reinstall of Windows to fix the problem, this something Microsoft tech support seem to tell me all the time when having blue screen issues and they just don't want to fix them at all, also I had the free version of windows 10 installed and can't reinstall it because I have no key code to do it!

My library mod was disabled twice this month, so it could've been that?

I see you've got a copy on steam, I'd only sub to mods through the steam workshop if you can (make sure to unsub from the paradox version) that'll cure the randomly disabling mods till paradox does something about it...

Note: I also had unsubscribe from all of the paradox mods and it still doesn't work! The Steam Workshop Mods they don't show up in the game menu or load into the saved games that I have.

Also having issues/problems with playing the game Surviving The Aftermath with Mods or without Mods too!

In your OP you say game version 249143 yet current is 1001586. If you really have that very very old version it is no surprise mods for later versions do not work for you.

Steam ought to update your game automatically. Is there some problem in that area for you, Steam not applying game updates?

The Steam In-Game Version is: 1001586, The GOG In-Game Version is: 1001586, The Paradox In-Game Version is: 1001586 and The Epic Games In-Game Version is: 1001586 and they are all up to date sense I made this report! Also I don't like programs to give notifications or to do background tasks, nor automatically update in the background on my computer because it mess up my games while I am playing them, specialty when playing in a different graphics display mode. I also have 100's of DVD's & CD's games versions installed on my PC computer too

Those versions are fine - the 249143 you originally reported was in error then?

All I can think of to try now is a clean reinstall:

- move any valued save games elsewhere; they are under
C:\Users\{UserName}\AppData\Roaming\Surviving Mars\{large number}\
- "uninstall" in Steam-Surviving Mars
- unsubscribe from ALL mods in the Steam Workshop for this game
- manually delete both the Steam/SteamApps/common/Surviving Mars AND C:\Users\{Username}\AppData\Roaming\Surviving Mars\ folders
In particular you need to make sure there are no files or folders left under either the Steam SM or AppData SM locations, before installing again.
- re-install game in Steam, run a Steam Verify when done.
- add MarsSteam.exe to the exceptions list/whitelist of your antivirus app
- start the game with no mods active and test
- if that goes okay, subscribe to 1 or 2 mods that are definitely up to date (any of Choggi's for instance)

Do they show then?
