Description
Surviving Mars crashes when click the Build Metal Extractor icon

Windows

Steam

What is your game version?
1001586

Do you have Space Race installed?
No

Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.
The tutorials completed normally. On my own, everything seems normal until I click the icon to build a metal extractor, and then the app exits without error message or anything. I can relaunch immediately without any problem.

Can you replicate the issue?
It happens whether WeMod is active, on but inactive, or not launched at all.
The problem appears to happen every time.
I have tried changing various settings and disabling other apps, with no effect.
The EXE is listed as an exception in BitDefender just to be safe, but BD does not log a problem with the app.

Here are some crash logs.

Any ideas on what to look at next?

Nope. No crash folder, no crash files.

As I said, though, the problem persists whether WeMod is active, running but inactive in this game, or not running at all, so it's unlikely to be the culprit.
You have any info on how "log flush mod" (realizing that I know very little about mods at all...)

Not surprisingly, I'm on Japan time, so don't be surprised if I don't respond to your questions until after you've left for the day... but if you have any ideas, I'd love to hear them.

It's a link in his signature here.

Well, I still don't know what caused the problem, but installing your mod library and flush log made the problem go away. No cheats, just those two.
I really would have preferred to identify and kill the root cause, but I'll settle for a working game.

Thanks very much for the assist!

Well, I removed the mods and ran the game vanilla, and the problem is now gone.
I haven't made any changes in anything since I first installed the game, but all sorts of things update automatically in the background.
Perhaps because I ran the mod once, perhaps because of something else, I don't know, but the problem seems to be gone.

Thank you very much for your time! And I guess this case can be closed...
