Switching Audio output streams causes soft-lock.

Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.
If I switch audio streams, the game soft-locks. (Can move mouse around main menu or in game can scroll around map, but take no other actions). When I say "switch audio streams", in this particular case if I switch my Corsair Virtuoso headphones from wired (USB) to wireless mode, or vice-versa: The game soft-locks.
Can you replicate the issue?
Yes. Cause Microsoft Windows to switch audio output device after the game has launched. In my particular case, switching my "Corsair Virtuoso" headphones from wired (USB) to wireless mode, or vice-versa - from wireless to wired: This will cause the problem. The game process must be manually terminated at this point, I doubt the log would reflect the error.
