What is your game version?
the current one

Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.
The option to repair the Esocorp rover appeared in Sol 273.
It is now Sol 405 and there has been no further mystery progress.
In the meantime my colony has grown to 1289 colonists, I have researched the whole tech tree and have built every wonder...

Can you replicate the issue?
dear god I hope not!

It is now Sol 470 and there is still no further progress with the Marsgate mystery.
I have now 1500+ colonists and as you can see, more than enough resources to continue on indefinitely.
Therefore, I am calling this playthrough a bust until such time as a solution is found.

This appears to be an issue with the changes implemented to the "Rover AI" technology.
The infinite battery life was extended from just Drone Command Rovers, to all in the Rover class.
As such, the "experimental" rovers are also affected by the technology. (Accidentally.)

(At least, in my current playthrough, that's what happened. The Marsgate "experimental" rovers landed after I had researched the technology. It seems that the "random" breakdowns are actually just these rovers running out of power.)

Edit: Yeah, Grapplehoeker, the breakdowns I encountered were thanks to random meteor strikes.

That would appear to make sense and provide a logical explanation for the problem, however, the first breakdown of one of the experimental rovers occurred in Sol 273, which is long after the Command Rover AI tech had been researched.
So, while it would explain why no further breakdowns occurred, it doesn't account for the initial breakdown. Perhaps your explanation could still valid if the initial breakdown was due to a freak biome accident rather than power depletion.

Thanks for the reports we've noted that problem with the Rover AI and it will be fixed in the next update.
