Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.
After I got the event where earth fires at my colony, I started getting tons of errors in a log file that filled up my disk.

Here is a sample of the repeated message in the 65gb log file:

Frankly no idea why you are getting this.

May as well run a Steam Verify operation against th egame, see if it has anything to fix.

Are there any mods involved?

No mods. It stopped happening when quit and reloaded my save.

If it helps: The earth attack hit some unfinished scrubbers and an RC transport that was on auto-gather. I canceled construction on the scrubbers and rebuilt the transport.

I just got this issue and this was the only other mention I could find of it online. I see it was last reported (for Surviving Mars) in 2019, though the same sort of issue was reported for Crusader Kings 3 in January 2021 at the forum thread ck-iii-1-2-2-insanely-huge-log-files.1453765

10 (can't play or save because the hard-drive keeps filling up)

Please explain the issue you experienced in the most condensed way possible
Playing the game in November 2020 generated error logs (e.g. "MarsSteam.exe-20210513-18.37.20-6081a539") at first dozens then hundreds of KB, eventually producing one that was 274,000 KB in size. Did not play again until yesterday at which point the game began to stutter and freeze and I noticed the hard drive kept filling up, preventing game-saving. Searching for where all the space went, I just found that the most recent logs produced by the game were 6-14 GB in size. I have a handful of mods installed, though I note the person who first reported this in 2019 had none. For what it's worth, I was playing the Church sponsor and the Dredgers mystery.

I was unable to open or examine the 5.5 GB and 14.6 GB error logs, but the 274 MB log from November 2020 is overrun with entries like:

I've seen it in recent SM logs, a couple weeks ago? I figured it was a mod and was trying to find out which (no luck there). I'm thinking something to do with landscaping? I don't recall hearing about it before GP release, but still just guessing...

though the same sort of issue was reported for Crusader Kings 3

Different game engine, and different devs.

I don't suppose you have a save file and the issue is reproduced when you load it?
