Having a problem, my friend is attempting to use the latest svn build but the game crashes while loading at events. he only has legacy of Rome, are there more dlc's required or did we miss something? Also he was never prompted for a password and username when setting up the svn, He simply imput the Url and the download started.

Sounds like he didn't set it up correctly.

is there anyway to tell when the svn has been revised?

Yes! Right click on the Elder Kings folder, and look for the "Tortoise SVN" tab. Mouse over that, and you should see a new tab show up which includes "Show log," among other things. Click that, and you can look at what's been revised (and when).

Hey IK you guys aren't here to trouble shoot for me, but I've been having trouble updating my copy of this SVN.

Code:
Command: Update
Updating: C:\Users\sudokek\Documents\Paradox Interactive\Crusader Kings II\mod\ElderKings from https://svn.elderkings.de/ElderKings
Error: Repository UUID '5e89ee86-4063-11e9-9101-65977ea4e726' doesn't match expected
Error: UUID '4f6675ec-f012-11e3-8d62-817d9fa87765'
Completed!:

I've looked around and didn't really find a solution to my problem. Unsure if I'm alone with this issue or not. Spent about an hour looking around... maybe I used the wrong keywords? I tried to whip up another SVN using
Code:
https://svn.elderkings.de/ElderKings
to no avail.

The SVN is undergoing a rebuild at the moment. We'll have it updated tomorrow morning.

Still getting this problem.

Still getting this problem.
You have to do the SVN checkout routine again. I haven't figured out how to simply unlink a folder from SVN in TortoiseSVN, so I had to do it manually (delete the hidden .svn folder). Keep a close eye on the suggested download folder when you check out again, as well - for me at least it suggested an ElderKings subfolder, but the .mod file still wants EKSVN.

Ever since 2013 or so, the SVN has been the best way to get updates and fixes. Also, since you control when you update it, it's as stable as you want it to be.

For some reason whenever i start a game with the SVN version most of tamriel has no culture and no religion with a few counties having Catholicism. The other continents seem to perfectly fine aside from Atmora which has the correct culture but is mostly Orthodox?

PEBCAK. By that I mean you've done something you shouldn't have.

Disable all other mods.
Don't put any mods into the folder that has the "DontPutModsHere.txt" file (which is located in the Steam CK2 folder). https://ck2.paradoxwikis.com/Mods#Installation
Don't interrupt the download once it's going.
Use the included .mod file, do not create your own.
