My monitor has given up the ghost after about 10 years of leal service.

After worrying that it was my PC that had given up the ghost I have worked around the problem by hooking up my PC to my TV. The problem is that my TV obviously can't handle the resolutions that my monitor could. I used to run at 1680x1050 and am now running at 1200x768(?). Most games are able to detect this and auto correct, with a few problems, but run well enough that I can fix them, including EU3. CKII however now just crashes on start up (it loads the mouse and starts to play some music for 1 second then crashes.)

Changing monitor is literally the only thing I have done since yesterday when it was running fine so I guess this is the culprit.

Is there a way to force a resolution on start up? I remember vaguely that you could do this through the shortcut. Alternatively is there a way to reset the options to default (in a text file somewhere?)

Any help much appreciated.

Fixed:

Deleted settings.txt in My Documents/Paradox/CK II. It auto detected fine with the next load up.

Knew that file was lurking somwhere. Strange that EUIII was able to work round the problem but it was fatal for the newer CK II.
