Was thinking about El Cid (departing from our artifacts conversation). He could still be Romano-Gothic in appearance, but he could (as the player is allowed to) changed culture to Roman and Mithraic-Christian upon coming to Saguntum or Taracco. I imagine that he was a Romano-Gothic general in Celdebra who served King Teo's father. Pull a Gladiator. Young, ambitious Teo does not like that this highly skilled general, who has fought the Arian Goths of Legio and the Pagan, Wodan-worshippers of Asturia has his father's favor. Upon Teo's ascension to the throne of Celdebra, he marginalizes and finally banishes El Cid (Rodericus Vivaricus). He briefly goes to the neighboring court of the Euskal, getting another taste of Arianism in their Euskalism, and defending against the Catholics of Gothia. Finally, he goes south to Severan Spain, offers his services there to defend against the Catholics of Barcelona and the Ghazi Muslims of southern Spain. Having become disenchanted by Arian Christianity (seeing so many fellow Goths go to war with one another, persecuting 'heresies') he turns to Mithraic Christianity. Still preserves his multi-cultural legacy, and could even give him the various "Tolerant" traits.

I like this Cid/Sayid alternative. I propose the title Ille Cire (This Lord, from Latin-Greek Ille Kyrie. Celdebrans speak a very romanised Latin speakers, akin to early Italians, as far as I've seen by their onomastics)
