I currently only use a Mac, MBP. About this Mac shows:

MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Late 2013)
Processor: 2.3 GHz Intel Core i7
Memory: 16GB 1600 MHz DDR3
Startup Disk: 512GB SSD
Graphics: Intel Iris Pro 1536 MB

According to Steam, the minimum and recommended system requirements are:
MINIMUM:
OS: OS X 10.10 OS X 10.9 OS X 10.9 (64-bit)
Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo, 3.0GHz / AMD Athlon 64 X2 6400+, 3.2GHz
Memory: 4 GB RAM
Graphics: nVIDIA GeForce GTX 260, 512 MB / ATI Radeon HD 5670, 512 MB
Network: Broadband Internet connection
Hard Drive: 4 GB available space

RECOMMENDED:
OS: OS X 10.10 OS X 10.9 OS X 10.9 (64-bit)
Processor: Intel Core i5-3470, 3.20GHz / AMD FX-6300, 3.5Ghz
Memory: 4 GB RAM
Graphics: nVIDIA GeForce GTX 660, 2 GB / AMD Radeon HD 7870, 2 GB
Network: Broadband Internet connection
Hard Drive: 4 GB available space

My question is on the graphics performance of this MBP. (My CPU, disk, memory seem sufficient).
I have: Graphics: Intel Iris Pro 1536 MB
Minimum: Graphics: nVIDIA GeForce GTX 260, 512 MB / ATI Radeon HD 5670, 512 MB
Recommended: Graphics: nVIDIA GeForce GTX 660, 2 GB / AMD Radeon HD 7870, 2 GB

So, this integrated Intel Iris Pro 1.5GB isn't mentioned, as the requirements mention having a discrete graphics card. My question is, can I assume that Cities: Skylines will run on this computer? I've noticed that some other forums mention that other Paradox games run on the Intel Iris graphics.

So, if this won't run, I'm wondering, if I would be able to transfer the license to a Windows version (I've donated my previous gaming machine to my mom, so she can have an email-machine, with top-of-the-line everything), or, perhaps sending me a refund, or a cool Swedish T-Shirt.

Thanks in advance

The minimum requirements, says that the processor needs to be at least 3.0

So how come you guys except it to run with less?
I think 3 seems kind of high, since only the imac 27" comes with over 3 and of cause the mac pro

Yeah, but doesn't most of us here have turbo boost to over 3? Unless i dont know how it works :D

Because it's not the GHz thats important, but performance. A 2.0 GHz cpu can have better performance than a 3.5GHz cpu.

The game runs reasonably well on my Mac while using the following settings:

Video resolution: 1024 × 768
Various quality parameters: Medium
Anisotropic filtering: Disabled
Antialiasing: Disabled

The following are my Mac's specifications:

Model: Late-2013 MacBook Pro
Processor: Intel Core i7, 2.3 GHz
Memory: 8 GiB
GPU: Intel Iris Pro

If anyone wants me to upload a video that shows the game running on my Mac, then just ask. :)

Do you think I could run it on my Macbook Air?

1.7GHz Intel Core i7
8GB Ram
Intel 5000 HD 1536 MB

Do you reckon the game would run on mine?

2.9GHz i7
8GB RAM
Intel HD4000 1024MB

I've been hearing lots of differing views around the graphics card in particular and I was just wondering if anyone else had any ideas?

The game is explicitly not supported on integrated Intel chipsets on any OS.

Boy am I glad that I bought my 15" rMBP when they gave you a dedicated graphics as standard not as an upgrade option.

15" rMBP Early 2013 Specs:

2.4ghz Intel i7 (3.2ghz Turbo)
8GB RAM
256SSD
Nvidia GT 650M 1GB

Granted the graphics is not quite up to the recommended specs level but sure beats the minimum comfortably.

Do you play the game ok?
I have the same mac as you but when i play C:S after 2/3 minutes my cpu and gpu temperatures rocket up to near 90C and my fans both come on at max speed.
I'm scared of constant high temperatures and fans speeds at max will damage my mac in the long run so have decided not to play it.
I can run the game fine on medium settings but lowering everything to low doesn't improve my issue at all.
