System Requirements

Hello!

I am interested in picking up Victoria this holiday season but am not sure if it will run correctly on my system.

Windows 98 SE
PentiumII 266 MHZ (Zenon brand)
288MB RAM
30 Gig hard drive that I can clean up if need be
Display: XPERT 98 AGP 2X from ATI Tech, ati2drae.drv driver ??8MB memory??
Sound: AWE64 Soundblaster, sb16.vxd driver
up-to-date DirectX

EUII (EEP) and HOI (CORE) both run perfectly on my system, but the sys reqs look a lot steeper for Victoria. Normally I would return the game to the store if it is incompatible with my system, but the stores have been changing their return policies (you open it, you own it). Would it be pointless to try Victoria with my system?

The only thing you are light on is the processor speed.
Some people have played it with systems simmilar to yours.
It is up to you if you want to try it.

it will probably run, but it will be very, very slow.
And as you are under the minimum requirements, it's a tricky issue to help you if you have any problems...

Yes it would be "at your own risk" so to speak.

I recomend.. don't do it.

I had a 600 Celeron 384mb ram 64mb GE forece and it was so slow...... you could barley control the mouse cursor.

Depends on what kind of components you have as well.
