As long as my 2.8 Ghz Pentium 4 with 1024 Mb of RAM can run it I'm happy. But seriously how high can the specs go? I mean its not Battlefield Vietnam

If it will run on yours, It will run on my machine....

One computer I still use from time to time is a 500MHz P-III laptop w/ 256MB RAM running XP. It can be more than a bit sluggish at times with certain games, but not impossible...;)

I'll call and raise you with my PIII 450MHz with 393MB RAM and XP. :D
It handles Vicky quite all right and I hope it'll manage CK as well. If not - I'll be unhappy. :( :D

It does? I have a 1700+ (that's a 1433MHz) with 256MB of RAM, and I think that Victoria is quite sluggish at times (to the point of annoyance), and I am using XP as OS too ... hmm, I guess it'a matter of how patient you are ...

When it comes to RAM, size does matter... :)

Well I have the least RAM, so logically I must have the biggest manhood :D

I bet you're compensating with a Mercedes or stretch HUMVEE. :D

But Havard is right, as long as you've got lots of RAM, you can manage with a processor that's pequeño. At least I do.

Yep, I've been playing Vic with 1.33MHz and a manly 384MB of RAM. No problems.

@Derek: Who you calling elderly? ;)

Probably because XP needs all that RAM.

It's a bit above 392MB, hence roughly 393MB. :)

Even the PC estimates it at 393MB at start-up. Wierd, I know, but my computer is a bit... eccentric.

Hmmm.... What combination gives you 392, anyway? I have 384, which is 128+256. Where is that extra 8 MB coming from? ;)

Well get another OS that doesn't use up as much ram as XP does, and i'm sure it'll run quite nicely on the lowbudget computers as well.

another idea is of course to shut down any anti-virus prog that might run in the background as well, as they are quite the resource hoggers...

Can one suggest that if your computer isn't able to play Paradox games of the EUII variety then you are not a true gamer?

Which computer?

Ths comp, and the one next to it, will both play Vicky fine. However, when the rest of the family wants comp time, or I'm on vacation, I prefer to use the laptop. Unfortunately, the video card on that is not much, and so Vicky would crash all the time. It's still my main platform for EU2 and some other games, and I like freeing up a comp for the kids.
