Could someone point me in the general direction or tell me what the system requirements for this game will be? I am at my limit with Vicky and I am concerned that this will be too much for my computer at home.
Graphically the game doesn't seem to go beyond Vickie, so there is no reason to be afraid for that. Now, what all Paradox's games do require is RAM. All in all, I'd guess on roughtly the same as Vickie, maybe some more RAM, since if the game is so complex as it seems, and I do not doubt that, that might casue the memory requirement to go up. That was general, but not specific. I don't think we can get to know more just yet.
I figured it didn't look graphically all that different from Vicky, and as you say, it looks a *little* more complicated than V.
I don't want to upgrade my computer (read: wife won't let me), so I'll stick to HOI and Vicky for now until the computer gods send forth to me a replacement.
I remember seeing early system specifications that were supprisingly low(Lower than HOI & Vicky). However this game has been in development for some time so they may have changed.
I just got these system requirements from strategy First:
Minimum System Requirements
Windows 98/ME/2000/XP
Pentium III 800 MHz
256 MB RAM
600 MB Free Hard Drive Space
DirectX Compatible 8 MB Video Card
DirectX Compatible Sound Card
DirectX 9.0 or higher (included on the CD)
Its been a while since a game came out that those machines could handle, I would doubt it, unless your a beta who has tested those specifications, then I take it back
1.4 Ghz 256 Ram is what I run it on.
And I only have 2 ggs free. Of course the damn save bug file ate up 1 gig before i realized u delet it in between sesions o
Vicky runs just about OK on my PII machine with 128 MB, with tolerable bursts of sluggishness now and then. I tend to stay away from the terrain view as much as possible and I run with music off to be on ther safe side. EU2 runs absolutely fine. I hope that CK is as tolerant of a sub-minimum system as Vicky, else it's give away my preordered copy/persuade my SO that it's new computer time.
Mind you, given what MrT regards as 'venerable'...I think I'm in the same boat as Detroit Rock...
