From the Pirates Ahoy! Q&A Interview #2 with Kim Soares, lead developer of Nitro Games, the system requirements for East India Company are as follows:

Minimum System Requirements:

• RAM: 1 GB (2 GB recommended for Windows® Vista™)
• Video: 128 MB DirectX® 9.0c compatible or better video card with pixelshader 2.0

• Sound: DirectX® 9.0c compatible sound card
• Available Hard Disk Space: Approx. 6 GB
• DirectX®: 9.0c

This seems to be lower system requirements than Empire: Total War, which can only be a good thing!

Awww your so lucky they actually picked you as one of the beta testers.......but you're not so lucky that you can't play it though:rofl: I have a nVidia 8800GS but instead of being like the other graphics cards of its class that all have 512MB, it only came with 384MB of graphics memory, I hope that won't be a problem. though Empire Total War kinda lagged on my PC, espacially frustrating how it took forever to load a battle.:wacko: And one thing I hate THE MOST is laggy gameplay, really hurts my eyes!!!!!

this doesnt bode well I have an 8400 and I'm fairly sure my card is only 256

Strange. What about the other requirements to do with your video card (direct X and pixelshader 2.0) ??

It meets the other requirements. I would have thought a 256Mb card would be OK, since some of the other beta testers have 256Meg cards, but I cannot speak authoritatively.

Please don't ask me anything else about beta testing as I'm not permitted to comment.

I saw a PC kit on sale on tigerdirect.com for around $650, it's got core i7 CPU, 6GB RAM, awesome motherboard.......as far as I see all u need is the graphics cards lmao, but they got 9600s for around $75 if ur interested lol.
