How should we handle the ITA tree ?
As soon as Italy surrendered in 1943, i don't really know how we could keep something realistic according to the player's situation.
Shall we make a pre '43 tree for "Axis Italy" and after '43 handle it like this :
- when ITA surrenders, the tree follows UK/France tree
- if ITA does not surrender, the tree for '44-'47 is still an axis one.

So we'll need to write a full axis tree and when ITA will surrender it will follow UK one.
Okay ?

Sounds good to me. One but, though. What happens if Italy has already researched some later Axis techs before surrendering? Then it might claim the benefits it has already got from Axis tree and then progress with the corresponding techs in allied tree.

I'd say Italy should have the same tree. Whichever side it is fighting on, Italy is going to be giving a rather lackluster effort and having one mediocre tech tree for them could reflect that.

The same tree whatever happens ? That could be more simple for me...
we could place 'neutral' techs for 44-45-47 (machine tools II and III and reconstruction).
So my two cents :
Industrial modernization 37/Machine Tools I 38/Rearmament 39/War Economy 40/Ressource Gathering 41/Women Labour (???) 42/Desperation 43/Machine Tools II 44/Machine Tools III 45/Reconstruction 47

USA 430 (5 slots)
Germany 165 (5 slots)
USSR 160 (5 slots)
UK 120 (5 slots)
France 60 (4 slots)
Japan 60 (4 slots)
Italy 40 (3 slots)

Okay ?

Fairly good, but I still think this suffers from the "Germany overrated, US underrated problem". Better, imo, would be:

USA 450 (5 slots)
Germany 120 (5 slots)
USSR 155 (5 slots)
UK 95 (5 slots)
France 60 (4 slots)
Japan 50 (3 slots)
Italy 35 (2 slots)

This does seem to present balance issues, but perhaps efforts could be made to make some aspects of the game less dependent on IC (reinforcements for example, though I don't know if that could be changed).

We don't need to hurry, we'll see that later.

Could someone comment my ITA tree suggestion ?

It's fine. I'd probably switch rearmament 39 to semi-Rearmament, but other than that, I think it works alright, though I might switch the 40 and 41 techs.

Shall i enter it or shall i let you more time to think about it ?

You can enter it. I've already spent quite awhile looking for info and while there is probably more out there, I think it fine to enter the tree now.

And so here is the result :

thanks to you weygander

Nice and interesting Econ tech tree. I think the IC should have 5 research slots for all major beligerants on each side, so IC should be raised more. To offset, the cost of building units could be higher. Austrailia and New Zealand could be combined on the map also. I have a map from another mod that you could consider and I will send it to you later to review.
