Why aren't you putting the Swastika on the German flag like in EWWII ?
And your keeping Vichy France after all ?

Did not you notice that swastikas were not allowed here ?
And if you're refering to the french icons, here are french before 1940 and free french icons (post 40).

We are currently 4 working on this project. Honestly if we (koenig, 49h, zveroboy and I, all french) don't receive help from the english community, i see no reason to make a bilingual mod. When i say help, i mean modding or suggesting.

uh, don't I count ? I'm even willing to translate most if not all of the text... and so the Swastika will still be in the mod ? As for the Free France Flag, aren't you using the Vichy one ? Also, I don't know if you can make nation specific ships, cuz that would get complicated but you could still do it with planes:

German Planes: Messerschimt BF-109, Focke-Wulf, Junkers Ju-XXX bombers...

British Planes: Supermarine Spitfire, Hurricane, Avro Landcaster Bomber

U.S: Gruman F4F-4 Wildcat etc; P-51 Mustang, Flying Fortress etc.

We can't do specific planes/ships but we will use the techs to keep some differences between the nations.
As you see translating won't help me yet since i'm still making those damn oobs and we have to make the tech tree after this. Events modding is far far far. So what we need now is not translating. If no one helps us you won't ever have to translate anything because there won't be any bilingual mod.
The swastika was on german flags, why would we errase it for a mod ? They are hidden on the forum, not on the mod. And why do you still talk about vichy ? There is no vichy symbol here. What you see is the Lorraine Cross, symbol of resistance.

@ all : just to let you know that i will also add specific musics as i've made for wif. Here is an example : http://rapidshare.com/files/83491842/G_n_se.mp3.html.

@ TeutonburgerW, Agistournas, Simon-1979, Aristotelis, rcduggan, Miihkali, Steff991, Van der Gent and anyone : are you still interested in this project ?

We have already some guys who care about this.
I need help for OoBs now. Japan and China's OoBs are remaining for example. Could you help for this ? We have already collected the OoBs compositions and the units models are written, we only lack time to adapt it to .inc format.

Sorry for not being on for a while but I've been VERY ill. Anyway, I've posted the first part of a generic Naval OOB. So far I have the Carriers and Battleships for the nations up to Germany and will be adding cruisers tomorrow. I can't do the submarines, destroyers or anything else lighter though.
Is there anything else you need me to do at the mo?

PS) Even though I'm not French, I agree with your view of France ingame. Make the mod you want first

EDIT:- Great pictures for those tanks. Well done

That sucks... oh well

I'm focusing on doctrines tree first. We will adopt the "country specific" vision too. There will be 2 main trees : experience of ww1 (the winners of ww1) and innovation (the loosers).
I am about to finish the german tree and Miihkali has given me ideas for the Chinese and Soviet trees. Does anyone has any knowledge about the evolution of the Allied doctrines ? I need something "real", I mean the doctrinal decisions which were taken have to be simulated by this. I was thinking about something like this : (during 38-45 we need one doctrine per year)

Some techs are still lacking and the current one are not supposed to be perfect. If you have any idea...

For France, their doctrine was, from 1938 'till the fall of the Third Republic, was an advanced version of WWI doctrine. They believed tanks were useless for breakthroughs unless they were assisted by infantry. They also used refuel trucks to ship fuel to the tanks, instead of using the German practice of putting fuel ON the tanks, permitting fast refuelling and to kept their advance going. They also relied heavily on static defenses, something adequatly illustrated by the Maginot Line. They also had only a few armored divisions, mostly they would have a few tanks assigned to an infantry division with a secondary support role, instead of the (again) German practice of concentrating the amazing firepower of the tank. They also used the classic doctrine of advancing on a broad front (basically applying the exact opposite of the Blitzkrieg)

By the way, it's Trench Warfare ;)
