Talk about the video : Age of Wonders: Planetfall - Q&A with Triumph Studios at PDXCON
what are the interesting points you like? and what are the weaknesses? Who would like to know more?

Interesting:
- They mentioned "food" that is something I don't think has been in any of the AoW games yet, always was Gold and Mana iirc. So would be interesting what resources will be available and what their effect is.
- They also mention an "operation layer". I wonder what that is. Will it just be the new term for what effectively has been the "Domain" in Age of Wonders or will it be an extra layer to fight in with sky castles and such?
I like:
- Racial units will differ much more than before. I would love to see some more examples of that.
Weakness:
- They kind of seem to think about abandoning the underground layer (buuhh!)
I'd like to know more about:
- 6 Units/stack seems to stay, but will there be Units that occupy more than 1 space in a stack? Will there be transport units again (was the case in AoW:SM, but not in AoW3) ?

Since there is a bit of worker placement that they mentioned when talking about sectors, I assume it is related to the total worker population that you can have in total or maybe in any given area. More food in a sector => more workers => more resources/efficiency

They mentioned missile strikes and satellites when talking about it. My guess is that it's something like the defensive structures or city/domain enchantments, however I hope it's more complex than that.

Why bother with transporting units when your flying ship can fire a javelin and can't be targeted in melee combat :)

entertainment androids... ooh.. dark elf ladies of pain are back? :D aka capturing enemy armies via seduce :D

Lady of Pain isn't the only unit in the series with seduce...

(that reminds me... My leader in my current AoW3 game has seduce from an item even though she's undead... I constantly forget to use it though)

hmm.. so the shadow demon bugs came from the moon... which i suppose also explain the shadow world nausea and how come everyone could move faster over there.
Or that is where the "new bugs" were found ;)

And if the bugs are more dependant on food over hmm.. metal(?) for units.. then capturing some space-halfling cities would be kinda essential to have the best farmers around feeding your good zergs.

That is no good! Underground adds interesting opportunities and challenges on the 'strategic map'. It can also fit the overall theme very well like certain 'rival houses' and/or 'insect races' preferring or disliking the underground. Maybe 'underground' just needs a better name, something that fits the Sci-Fi theme.

Or, instead of underground, we have portals connecting different worlds (like in Shadow Magic) and those count as layers instead. With different possible terrains that would even allow for fully liked and disliked layers, to a degree.

Yes, something like this  - maybe these portals are closed/broken at first and can only be opened after discovering a certain technology.
