Talk about the video : Age of Wonders: Planetfall - Q&A with Triumph Studios at PDXCON
what are the interesting points you like? and what are the weaknesses? Who would like to know more?
- They mentioned "food" that is something I don't think has been in any of the AoW games yet, always was Gold and Mana iirc. So would be interesting what resources will be available and what their effect is.
- They also mention an "operation layer". I wonder what that is. Will it just be the new term for what effectively has been the "Domain" in Age of Wonders or will it be an extra layer to fight in with sky castles and such?
- 6 Units/stack seems to stay, but will there be Units that occupy more than 1 space in a stack? Will there be transport units again (was the case in AoW:SM, but not in AoW3) ?
entertainment androids... ooh.. dark elf ladies of pain are back?aka capturing enemy armies via seduce

- They kind of seem to think about abandoning the underground layer (buuhh!)
That is no good! Underground adds interesting opportunities and challenges on the 'strategic map'. It can also fit the overall theme very well like certain 'rival houses' and/or 'insect races' preferring or disliking the underground. Maybe 'underground' just needs a better name, something that fits the Sci-Fi theme.
Yes, something like thisOr, instead of underground, we have portals connecting different worlds (like in Shadow Magic) and those count as layers instead. With different possible terrains that would even allow for fully liked and disliked layers, to a degree.
