In case any of you hasn't checked the main forum, they have been talking about the project and rafiki has offered to include it in his VickyWiki page (the best site about Victoria)

Quite impressive isn't it? :)

More posts are talking about the project, and people are impressed with the tool...

Indeed (and thanks for the compliment) :)

Is there perhaps someone who could lend me a hand? I'd like to include some screenshots (perhaps use some from the main forum thread?) and also, if it's OK for the creators of the mod, make it available for download at VickyWiki.

My mailaddress is "victoria <AT> nsen <DOT> ch".

It's great that you are willing to put the converter on your Vicky page. :)

I have put together a proper readme for the occation, as this is more or less going official with the utility... Bare in mind though that it is a work in progress, and everything is not fine tuned...

I think Germax had some screenshots in a thread somewhere in the main forum that could do the trick...

Is it OK if I simply use the readme as the basis for the VickyWiki article? No use in re-inventing the wheel and all.

Hehe, I consider everything related to Vicky (including the Wiki) to be works in progress unless specifically stated otherwise ;)

Downloaded today.

The article can now be found at http://victoria.nsen.ch/wiki/index.php/EU2Vic

I fixed a couple typos (;)), reformatted it a bit to take advantage of Wiki features and added some notes about where to download it and a pointer to this forum. Let me know if there's anything you'd like changed there; if I don't hear anything, I'll link it from other pages tomorrow.

Looks great!!! :)

Just add the following line to loans "Loans are generated as follows: (loans * 50) / (1 + inflation)", otherwise supa!

Loan-info updated.

germax, were you able to send some screenshots? I'd like to show some "before" and "after" shots of how things look.

I'm not much of an EU2-gamer myself, so the converter has never quite caught my eye, but from what I've seen of it now is really impressive; even if it's not quite finished (montyP's words, not mine ;)), it's quite a nice piece of work

Well, I think it was a demand from players of the block-buster game of Paradox...

Me? I was never a huge EU2 player, but working on the project made it feel good and productive...

sorry, i had my driving lessons today, i'll send them right away, how much do you want? 4-5?
BTW i would like to be an official tester

ok i took some pictures but i've seen you are going to use mrdoom's screens about Europe after convertion, so i got some pictures about factory and army detail, let me search a site to place them and then i'll send too.

4 would be nice, then we can take it from there. The best would be pairs, showing the EU2-version (pre-conversion) and Vicky-version (post-conversion).

I'll add your name to the list :)
