When will we collect them? On Jan. 1st as in the EU games or on Michaelmas (Sept. 29th) like they did in England and France during CK times?

Does it really make a difference? No, I was just bored waiting to hear about the beta and thought I would throw the question open to discussion.

Don't know about the rest of Europe but I am sure someone will enlighten us all.

Also some stuff concerning accounting was on Candlemas (Feb. 2nd) but I am not sure if it was tax collection.

:)

Suzerainty does entail the right to tax, doesn't it?

The Church levied the tithe onto the whole of the population (10% of the production). Only monastic orders and the Templars were exempt. (Ooooh, the Templars.... conspiracy :D )

I guess it depends if it is local, ducal or national taxes. I thought there were a lot of "special taxes" during this period.

Many taxes were consumption related. Like the tax on salt.

And there were many different fees for crossing bridges or setting up shop in a town etc. etc.
