Hey all,
so, am i doing somehting badly wrong? i read these posts speaking of maxing in tech etc; but even 60-70 years in as a major power i often still am at 4-5 in tech. What can I do?
 
Don't worry, in first years you tend to develop more slowly then later.
But still, a few advices:
try to get trade tech 3 asap: monopolies
try to send as much of monthly income as possible to technology
send your merchants around the world: the more income they bring, more money you recive monthly.
