I just researched Early-war Int, but Mid-war Int is not highlighted for me to research. Not that I would, it's too far into the future, but when I click on Mid-war Int, I see that Early-war Int is a req, but I also see that Late-war Ftr and Late-war Esc are also reqs.
Of course, Late-war Ftr has a req of Mid-war Ftr.
But then Mid-war Ftr has Early-war Ftr and Late-war Esc as req.
Late-war Esc has Mid-war Esc as req.
Mid-war Esc has Early-war Esc and Late-war Ftr as req.

So, it looks like all the mid and late war fighters are un-available.

Actually the bombers are all similiarly hosed as well.

Is something going to happen that will make this all doable?

I would post on the CORE site, but they seem to be down.

These are OR requirements, which means that you need only one of Early-war Int or Late-war Ftr or Late-war Esc to be able to research Mid-war Int.
Don't you think something as obvious as that would have been noted in 6months of development and testing.

Don't worry. Just play the game instead of assuming something as major as this isn't working. It would just be plain stupid of us to release something with such major problems.

But remember to diversify in your research across the trees and ye shall be rewarded.

Hi,

To more specifically answer the initial point the reason that Midwar Interceptor is not available is that you haven't researched Radar Refinements in the Industrial tree. There is a small icon next to the Interceptor tech that idicates this off tree prerequisite.

mm

Yes, I believe the radar requirement will take care of this.

However, if the supply side of the game doesn't start working correctly I won't ever find out.

I've been programming for 27 years. I do not understand why this game can't calculate the maximum fuel usage for all units getting supply from a single point, and then deliver enough supply to meet the demand.

This sucks.

What do you mean? Above all, my first impression is that is't an EXE issue, which we can't modify, not CORE-specific. And furthermore I wasn't aware of any specific problem.

I've noticed what he's talking about, if you setup a supply convoy to run between two and allot the minimum transports for the task, then when you add more troops to the area the required transport level doesn't change but the convoy AI doesn't send enough supplies, you can get around it by using larger convoys though this has a detrimental effect on you production (increased need for transports) and supply production (vastly increased usage at supply dump). it isn't so much a problem if you know how to fix it, it just adds a mildly annoying extra bit of realism, possibly accidentally but knowing you guys are really serious about beta testing it probably was intentional.

Realistic?

Claude Swanson calls the Chief of Staff at 2am "We better move the Pacific Fleet to Pearl Harbor"

Malin Craig "I suppose we should send more oil and supplies there, I'll get on it in the morning", he then falls asleep and completely forgets. Two weeks later the Pacific fleet is patrolling 1200 miles west of Pearl when suddenly they run out of gas...

Yes, that sounds realistic to me. In fact, I'm sure something like that must have happened every month or two until FDR finally fires Craig and his whole staff...and sets up the convoys himself.

The US navy was so inept during WWII.
