Tech slots in AoD

Hi,

when I installed IC on HoI2, the screen with settings came up. I could modify the number of tech slots in it.

But when I nstalled IC on AoD, no such screen appeared and I could not find that setting file in the installation folder. When I loaded the game I had max 5 slots although AoD itself enables up to 10 slots.

How can I change number of slots in AoD/IC to standard AoD settings?

I installed over AoD, changed nothing, yet I can have up to 10 slots. Wierd...

Yes sir you are correct you can make the change to number of Tech Slots via the proggie "Parches HOI2-AOD found in the root directory of where you installed the game. Be warned though that changing the number tech slots can be killer because like someone mentioned to me when I wanted to change the slots for Germany, if you select 10 like AoD has, Germany starts with only base ic of 90 in 1933 and 1934 not sure about the other scenarios so you still would only have maybe 4 slots or 5 to start with while the USA will have 10 from the start and USSR I think will have 9 or 10 too. UK would start with 6 or 7 I think. All based on "base ic" so I would not mess with it.

Been playing with Germany and the 5 slots available have no issues now with researching once I found a pattern to keep my "research %" over 110%. I been at 120% plus for almost all of 1938 even with all those 'negative' values from researching Industrial techs. It can be done just takes time to find a pattern. So 5 slots seems good and I am play on Normal/Aggressive as Germany right now just to see how the tech tree pans out. Looks good so far very good.
