Technical Problem

I am a newbie, but I love this game. I am having problems with me playing and then the game crashes and sends me back to the desktop. It happens when I click on countries that I want to talk diplmacy with. Then just crashes! Is anybody else experiencing this problem? I would love to get this game running okay, because this game is da bomb!!!

My system specs.
Direct X 7
Voodoo Banshee 2 Video Card
312 MB Ram
Over 300 MB disk space
I run at 16 Bit True Color

Anyway, if ur using an odler patch version, rightclicking in the diplomacy screen should crash ur PC.

Patch?

Is there a patch or can I update the game? I am a newbie and I just got the game. What is happening to make the crashes occur? Where can I update my game?

At the top of ur screen there is a menu with Downloads, in there u can download the patch, 1.09 is the latest, according to which version u own. That oughta fix most probelms.

Oh hell, http://www.paradoxplaza.com/downloads.asp is the place for the patch The EU ones. 1.09, N.A I'm guessing seeing ur user name.

Unfortunately BiB some of the CDs distributed in North America are the Benelux version!

Yankee1:-

Look at the distributor name on the box. If it says "Strategy First" then you need the NA Patch. If it says "Blackstar" then you need the Benelux one.

You will find that after using the patch then right clicking on the Dip box does nothing. This is intentional as that feature caused problems and was deleted.

Gawd - its been so long I have forgotten!
I think it centred the map on the Country clicked on.
When you next fire up EU have a look - the instruction to right click is still there!
