Technonub in trouble

I can get into the game but when I try to load a saved campaign it crashes. I get an error msg " Cannot load flag texture".

When I alt tab out of my blank screen, Windows informs me that the colour scheme has been changed. In the detail it says KA2 has performed an action that requires Windows to change the colour scheme to Windows 7 basic. It also says it will switch back to Aero when KA2 is no longer running.

I of course blame Java. I always do. Whenever I finally relent to their incessant whining to update, something always goes wrong.

As a technonub any help on getting back into KA2 would be appreciated.

As far as I know, everyone is having the "cannot load flag texture" issue, since tonight's patch. However, you just need to alt-tab, close the message then go back into the game (there are actually two boxes to close).
Hopefully this will be fixed soon, because it is quite annoying.

Thanks for that Touffy - never noticed the second error message - and now I get to play tonight which is the main thing =)
