Summary

"Temporal, for Life" Court Chaplain automatically replaced on death

Description

According to the description of the "Temporal, for Life" Clergy Doctrine, a ruler is supposed to be able to appoint their own Court Chaplain under this doctrine.

However, my experience with the current patch (playing as Caliph al-Mu'tazz of the Abbasid Caliphate with Ash'ari faith) has been that whenever my Court Chaplain dies, a new character has been automatically assigned to replace them by the time I open up the Council menu after seeing the death notification. I am then unable to replace this automatically-assigned character because my faith does not have the Revocable Clerical Appointment Doctrine.

In effect, I am never given the chance to appoint my own Court Chaplain.

Steps to reproduce

1. Play as a ruler with a faith that includes the "Temporal, for Life" Clergy Doctrine
2. Wait for your Court Chaplain to die or kill them
3. Open the Council menu and observe the automatically-assigned replacement to the Court Chaplain position

Well, let me tell you, that they have reverted the change from the 1.11 Patch(LoP Launch Patch), that the Court Chaplain/Realm Priest is not automatically filled for Temporal Appointment Faiths, because of the AI was unable to appoint a Court Chaplain/ Realm Priest.
