I'm warning both Js and other readers that updates will be quite slow until the end of June/beginning of July. I have a ton of reading to do for the masters' exam I'm taking in June, in addition to two summer courses I'm taking to finish out my MA in English before starting my MFA in Creative Writing in the fall.
That said, I'll just drop a mention that after discovering tanzanite, whose rarity and beauty rivals that of the Paraiba tourmaline, I've been inspired to start working on a short story where Melody goes gem-digging. It won't be one I post here, as I intend to submit it for publication once I finish it, but if it gets accepted anywhere, I'll let you all know.

Well, the summer session from hell is finally done and I'm back in Wisconsin, simultaneously enjoying my freedom from Arkansas and recovering from the stressful month and a half I've undergone.
Hoping I can pick this up again later this week or sometime next week.
