Please explain the issue you experienced in the most condensed way possible
When starting up the game everything seemingly goes normally until I select what game mode I want to play and the map opens. The UI is completely fine and stays fine while playing a game. The Map however is black and blue for the paper map, with each country being black with their names listed in blue, with light blue borders separating them from the neighboring states. The Ocean is black with blue dots spread across it in a snow-like pattern in both the paper and terrain maps. The terrain map is this glowing dark purple with the terrain features being visible and clear just recolored. There are these bursts of blue light across the map that happen every 20 or 30 seconds, and there are orange points visible in different points in naval lanes specifically (I think) showing points in your nation's supply system. The worst problem that makes it extremely difficult to play is whenever you try to move the camera either to zoom in or out or to scroll horizontally or vertically a blue lava lamp esc pattern (I wish could give you a better description) covers either the entire map, meaning the entire screen apart from the UI is filled with this blue pattern or in other cases just all of the land on the map is covered by it. This pattern normally, though not always, fades after 30 seconds to a minute of not moving the screen. It then reappears every time you try to move the camera. I've tried verifying my game files and reinstalling the game multiple times with no change.

Please explain how to reproduce the issue
I have no idea, this happened as soon as a first started the game after buying it. The only thing that I might have done differently than standard is that I was initially having launcher problems so my first opening of the game was directly from the .exe. I am no longer having those launcher problems and have been starting from the launcher with no change to my problem.

Is there anything else you think could help us identify/replicate the issue?

I have attached a save game

I'm also now finding that after I first zoom in away from the paper map, anytime after that until I exit to the desktop and come back in after restarting the application, whenever I try to go back to the Paper map level it will perpetually stay covered in the plasma pattern. Meaning that the Paper map is perpetually obscured in-game without exiting the application. I can at least zoom back into the terrain level and wait the normal time for the mist to clear on that level, so it doesn't entirely break the game. If I exit to the desktop and restart the application it will reset and I can enter the game with the paper map level visible again until I zoom in again for the first time, still also being obscured if I move around on without zooming in. If I don't fully exit to the desktop and just try to go back in from the main menu the paper map level will still be obscured. Also Here are some pictures of some of my issues by the way.

Hello!

Please try to perform a full re-install (makes sure to manually remove any leftovers if they should remain).
This sounds like a tech support issue, I will move you to the related sub-forum.

(For tech support: If it turns out to be a bug and not a tech issue, please poke me and I will return the report to the bug forum.)

In that case I'd ask you to post more detailed system specs (akin to DXDiag on Windows, no idea if Mac has something like that), tech support will probably want to know them to look into the matter.

My guess is your Mac hardware does not meet the requirements;
  • Processor: Intel® Core™ i5-6500
  • Memory: 8 GB RAM
  • Graphics: AMD® Radeon™ R9 M380 (2GB)

If you are not sure, or that does not apply:
Please attach here your Documents/Paradox Interactive/Vic3/pdx_settings.txt .
From your Documents/Paradox Interactive/Vic3/logs/ folder, attach here system.log , error.log

Also in Steam please click on Steam-Help-System Info, and paste everything there into a text file and attach that here.
