Test of Time V: The Hogs of War

All,

We're kicking up ToT V this week. It plays Fridays (probably) starting at around 2315 CET, though we may bump this down if the majority prefer. All skill levels are welcome, but you must be reliable and diplomatically active, and bear in mind that this group tend to be very war-like.

For scenarios, I'm torn between PE 1520, the tried and true start, Ryoken's EoS 1419 randomized and Ryoken's historical 1556. Check 'em out and vote. The mod is only 2 megs, so I think that's doable for subs and such.

Countries will be given first come, first serve unless we see a serious balance issue. I claim the following:

1419: Anything leftover
PE 1520: Russia
1556: Holland

There are no rules beyond the usual exploits, as far as I know.

On second thought, I pretty much refuse to play EoS historical until the trade bonus is restored to Reformed, whether I play Holland or not.

I hadn't noticed that change. It's very silly.

I will step up and take a shot, if you will have me. I won't expect anything but stabs in the back, either, so no worries there.

Probably I would be best at something fringy, and not central. Portugal, maybe, or perhaps a Scandanavian country. Or Russia, which might teach me finally how to campaign in the winter.

As I have told HoG I play in Europe Ruined until 23.00 or 23.30 CET the two following Fridays (25th and Mar 1st). Then that game is over.

I also prefer an earlier starting point but in the two first sessions I can be a part of the game only if the starting time is the late variant.

I have never played a Scandinavian nation in MP. Sweden appears simpler than Denmark

23:30 is only a couple hours later than the old start time. Considering the fact that we always went much longer than four hours-up to seven or eight, it shouldn't be a problem if we keep it to four. It's not that great for me, either, but it's the only way Beli can play.

Even if we later knock the time down, I'd like to start then the next two weeks to accomadate Daniel.

Hmm, I may be interested, but I certainly couldn't play any earlier than the current start and I'd have to know when the game ended.

EDIT: Actually, I could start at 2200 and for scenario I vote for 1453 first and 1492 EoS second.

Both Persia and the Mughals are Orthodox tech in the 1453 scenario. I haven't decided whether that's a good thing or not yet.

I may be intrested in joining, depending on map and of course time. I think many of you already know that I've committed the vast bulk of my free time to playing Worlds of Warcraft, which won't change. But I did want to play one game a week. Sunday being my perferred playing date. But no new game's were openning up.

I'm still not sure if I do want to play since I am currently getting my character leveled up to 60, so he is raid capable. He is currently 56. But i'll keep track of this thread and see what you guy's decide.
