WAS THIS GAME TESTED WITH WINDOWS VISTA ULTIMATE?
Looks everyone having a problem has Vista.
When they get the dll error you tell them do dl 9c. fyi Vista comes with ver 10. I found that Vista users need to run directx runtime. http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...&displaylang=en
once you get that fixed, you could run into cursor problems. And that fix is to update the video driver. If that doesn't work. well....... Still waiting on a fix.
Many of the people posting have Vista ... but not everyone with Vista is having a problem. Everyone having a problem does not have Vista, some have XP.
We know Vista comes with DirectX 10., but it does not come with all the functions Dx9.0c has, so you MUST install Dx 9.0x. The "Crash" thread above has a link to http://www.europa-universalis.com/forum/showthread.php?t=349424 which in turn points to two MS links, which work fine with Vista and Rome.
