I've successfully modeled an asset in Blender and imported it, but the texture is only visible when zoomed far out. Zoomed it is completely black. http://a.pomf.se/jxudvx.jpg Anyone else encounter this problem? EDIT: I've found that the problem only occurs when using a park template. I'm building a leisure asset so I need to use that template.

I'm having a similar issue, While trying to Import as a park My object tries to merge with the ground producing an extra face from the base. The color shows up fine in the preview before clicking continue though except for the extra face which has parts of the diffuse.png randomly. After clicking continue my object turns black and even when I zoom all the way out it is still black. I only have this problem with Parks.

I have the opposite problem. In asset editor, buildings looks fine when I zoom in, but from far away texture is messed up or changes colour. Interestingly, it only happens with some of the default buildings, so I have to change the default building to edit my own...

I'm sorry, this is indeed a bug. In case you're interested, this seems to happen when the template you select has no building model (i.e. only has trees/roads/props) but you try to import a model. The importer ends up selecting a wrong shader (and possibly other properties, we'll need to investigate) for the model, which causes e.g. building base being shown in the preview and missing textures (black objects).

We'll try to fix this in the future. Meanwhile, if you manage to find a park which has a model to be used as the base, it should work.

Agreed. We are working on expanding the asset editor functionality, also in this regard.

Is adding RGB values imputs in the color variations in the list of things you're adding ? (because the color picker is ok but you can't redo things with precision.).
And... Building placement would be great..
