The 2019 Graphics/AARtist of the Year is...

While only half of our voters gave nomination here, I maintain this remains an important category. The use of visuals in an AAR can many times take a work from good to great and these following nominees have certainly deserved the honor they have earned. 10 AARtists are singled out and the winner was a runaway vote. While this awAARd could be given to an AARtist for one AAR or more, it is the individual that is being awAARded. Thus I give to you your 2019 AARtist of the Year...

Congratulations to our worthy winner @Wraith11B for his consistently excellent graphics work.

But also a small note of sadness that our second place AARtist has not been seen October and worse his work is now a blurred mess thanks to Photobucket. It was a 'proper' all picture comic book style AAR and certainly one of the most purely graphical works I have seen in quite a while, so I am pleased it got some recognition even if it has been taken from us.

Here you ca see, ladies and gentlemen, the importance of representing ships in detail, and to scale, within your AARs.. Congrats @Wraith11B . Now I'll really have to step up my graphics game... Thanks to all the nominees for giving us aesthetically pleasing and/or informative visual elements to give your stories and characters that little bit of extra detail, realism, and reference. I do hope more people will be voting in this category nest time around, being aware of how much time and work can go into the creation of graphical artwork, I can only applaud those who took the time to reward the AARtists with their vote.

Just realized that I hadn't gotten around to thanking everyone who voted for me, especially in this category! I work very hard in making Stahlpakt one of the best AARs out there, and for sure this honor that all of you have bestowed upon me is truly appreciated!

Jokes of course - @Wraith11B has outdone himself with this latest graphic: demonstrating why he had to get this award, and putting a down payment for it on the 2020 YAYAs. That, and the new category of ‘best OCD AAR of the year’.
