Voting done. Unless I see a good shout in someone else's later ballot, at which point I may update it. ;)

I fully admit Jape is a controversial choice on the grounds all his works get abandoned after the first few chapters. But they are very good chapters so I feel it is merited.

More votes! Wonderful!! :D Keep them coming and I'm sure I speak for all when I say thank you!

To @El Pip - I truly appreciate the votes, but I must suggest that my Song of Wessex is fully narrative rather than history-book. I thank you for the nomination, but I'd hate to take away from another worthy history book AAR. :)

And many thanks to all that are posting in their own threads, especially @Bullfilter . Take a page and use the great graphic from the first post to point people here. Just a few weeks left to get those votes in. Let's see a great showing.

I'm going to hold the voting open until Feb. 10th as that's when I get back from Austin. Please get those last votes in before time is up. We are still far shy of previous voting numbers and there are so many great works out there to award. Vote, vote, vote!!! :D

This is what happens when you vote late at night. :( Though in fairness that is the only time the Pippettes would allow, better to vote slightly incorrectly than not at all was my thinking.

Vote updated. ;)

Here is my ballot, not very complete, but my reading of AARs is mainly restricted to CK2 where I have thousands of hours of playtime, rather than Stellaris and EUIV ,where I have only 100 hours or so, or the other games that I haven't played at all.

Also a quick thank you to @slothinator for his strong and continued support and nominations of my own ongoing AAR.

Unfortunately I didn't have as much time as I might have liked to read new AARs this year, so I missed out on some gems and some games entirely. Still, I did find a lot of stuff I loved. :)

Aaaand...pencils down. :)

Great to see some last minute voters! Starting the tabulation now and already I see a great array of AARs and writAARs. Look for the results soon and thank you so very much to everyone that has participated and helped get the word out there! A project like this does not work without people like you. :D

The votes have now been tabulated and I am pleased to report that we have equaled last year's total number of voters! :D 18 members have given their voice and picked their favorite works and there were some tight votes. I can say before the results are listed, that HoI and CK dominate yet again. I urge all the next time to please recommend your readers to come to the voting thread. The more voters we have, the more accurate the results will be. That said, a huge number of works are yet again mentioned throughout this process and every one of them is certainly deserved for a nomination!

One sad fact (depending on your viewpoint) is that there were zero votes for LPs/Video AAR. In future this category will be dropped. Otherwise, every other category found voices voting for them and while some were more than others, I think they still deserve their own chance. Feel free to offer your ideas for next year and on, but from all 18 voters, we found at least some that offered their vote.

However, we can be proud to see every single one of your areas represented in the vote from HoI2 all the way to Rome. That is a wide swath and a full one!

In the coming days, I will roll out the winners and list the AARs that were nominated in their own threads. Please look to them and offer your congrats and/or thanks. Every single AAR and writAAR mentioned should feel some pride for their work being mentioned and considered for this. Even one mention I hope brings you more views and comments. :)

Before I begin the reveal, allow me to one more time mention the method of accounting. You were asked to vote for up to 6 AARs/members in each category and they were then given a weight from 1.6 for the first AAR mentioned down to 1.1 for the 6th work. I do this to avoid ties and many times that percentage is the difference between a winner and not. I always say, every vote counts. ;)

Some results may be expected and some might be surprising. In truth, every single nod is worth it! Before we begin, congrats to all that were mentioned and especially for our winners. Yet another successful year of excellent writAARs and AARs! Nearly 20 years and the Paradox AARland is still going strong!!

Thank you so much for doing this again! :)

Your hard work and enthusiasm are always appreciated in this effort, @coz1 :)

Thanks for doing this! Excellent work as ever @coz1! :)

Mm. The issue with video Aars remain then...
Troubling because of course it is a big part of Paradox fan culture now and yet no room for it on the forums...

Oh, and I should apologise for not voting. Rather excitingly, I was busy being told all my results were green and I'm very possibly never going back into that hospital bed.

Rest assured, I am very up for anything spontaneously creative in the aar community about now.
