The big crash :confused:

Hello castellon, hello all others,

I´ve two problems :

1st my very bad english - I hope you can understand me

and now 2nd :

Last time I have never problems with EU II

But now ...

I install it
I install then the Patch 1.08
I work with your helps ( avi-folder, delete autostart-programm, 16 bit colours )
I am not sure and so I reboot my system
Now I start the game and
Nothing I see in a black monitor.
Could be the game load ( Tower works at this time ) but I didn´t see anyone
Also I restart my system, but arrghh, Windoof Me didn´t start, better start with black screen.
I restart new and with the " sure Version" I can change my grafik to the normal status.

I am surprised, because Victoria and all other programs start normal.

Help for you : I update my grafic-card to nvidia Geforce2 Mx/Mx 400

Are anybody can help me ? I hope, I like EU II and I cannot back to my first grafik-card.

thank you for your answer.


Well, I did format my system and didn´t bought a new video card.
From the nvidia-Homepage I did download the newest driver for my old video card. That´s all. And if I had a problem with all other programs, I didn´t tell this in our forum.

I found it

I have yesterday configure Victoria in an other grafic- modus and ....

the screen stands forever if I load the game

Than I have the idea, it is a problem with the now failed 800x600 Screen and ---- yes thats it.

I have download from nvidia an other driver ( older than my actuality :rofl: )
and ooops, I can change to 800x600 or 640x480
Now I start my EU II with more fun than as I bought it

Thank you, and for you interesting, that any new driver didn´t have the 800x600 screen, that EU II need.
