Edmund won  Now that was kind of surprising, but great news. Now I just wonder how many hours it is going to take before the Hawk decides to return to kill Edmund and grab the crown.
Great update :)

A plan which succeeded... Now we've seen it all... ;)

Hawkeye1489: Good that you're enjoying it. I'm not being particularly strict when it comes to Edmund's characterization; one could say the intelligence was always there in Series 1 Edmund, only that it needed an oppurtunity to emerge from the social awkwardness.

Kurt_Steiner: Well, look at how many titles Edmund has all of a sudden. ;)

Slinky: I believe the lyrics of the song quite adequately sum up my plans.

Enewald: It was a very....byzantine method of taking the crown.

FingalOlsson: Or will he perhaps relapse into incompetence and unpopularity?

phargle: "My first fin in the K saga filked the Blackadder song from the first series."

The what?

Spencer_123: I can't devulge my plan (I don't have a plan).

General_BT: I have an annoying tendency to have that happen to me in my CK AARs, in case you hadn't noticed that. I guess that just goes to show that I have little idea of the game mechanics operating just under the surface.

Lord E: Thanks. Hopefully, he'll end up getting knifed by some low-life cutthroat before he can return to try overthrowing the Blackadder dynasty.

Murmurandus: I'm not sure if I should feel insulted. :p

Firstly, I'd like to apologize to all of you for my lack of any updates or even activity in this thread for a week. I have a nasty habit of burning out my... for lack of a better word, will to write after a while. Part of this may be because I tend to sit down and write an update all in one sitting, without the slightest bit of forethought, which can be a rather draining experience. Or it might have to do with reading Ostrogorsky and getting so irritated by certain post-Comneni incompetence that my CK and writing time is being spent writing something....else. As it is, I intend to use that as a rather lame excuse to take a break and perhaps go about things a little differently. I have no intention of abandoning this or any other AARs. If all goes well, I'll amass a series of updates that I can release in rapid succession before too long.

Thank you all for you continued support and your patience.

You've given me an idea...

By the way, some questions...

A) When is Lord Flasheart going to appear? (Ok, not Elizabethian time, but...)
B) When is Lord Melchett going to appear? (see above)
C) When is Nursie going to appear? (se above)
Last but not least
D) When is Kate/Bob going to appear? (see above)

Woof, woof, woof!

Lord Flashheart, Lord Flashheart,
I wish you were the star;
Lord Flashheart, Lord Flashheart,
You're sexier by far.

:D

phargle: Ah, I see now. Nice work on the rhyming and such. *tips hat*

Kurt_Steiner: "You've given me an idea..."

That being?

"A) When is Lord Flasheart going to appear?"

Within the next five centuries, probably.

"B) When is Lord Melchett going to appear?"

(see above) :p

"C) When is Nursie going to appear? (se above)"

Odds are, never. I never liked the character.

"D) When is Kate/Bob going to appear?"

Well...one of the later Blackadders is going to need a wife... one can never be sure when. Wait a minute! Didn't I just say in my last post I write without putting any forethought into it!? :p
