in regards to how to put the EU in the game, i'm wondering if it'd be possible to base it off the mechanic of the HRE in EU 3 or something like that (clearly i'm not a programmer)

Okay, the first event I created seems to be a success. This event (I'll post a picture of the actualy event later) is the August Coup, which decides if the Soviet Union continues or not. The AI chooses to defeat the coup in 99% of the times. 1%, or the other option, is to admit that "We went too far, the USSR lives forever".
But here's how the place looks like after the event. I'll post more pics later:

You can't see it, but the Bessarabia region is not owned by Romania, there's Moldavia. I haven't just changed their colour or flag yet.
Hey, how that you're here, I can't find a picture of Adolfo Battaglia.
I have all the minister pictures for the Italian 1990 cabinet.
I just like to use the surname. Like just battaglia.bmp.
But it would help if you could do the pictures, I'm still editing the provinces.

Country description for the 'new' Federal Republic of Germany : After the utter defeat in World War II Germany was divided into two seperate states : The pro-western Federal Republic Germany (FRG) and the communist German Democratic Republic (GDR). While West-Germans lived quite prosperous in their newly established democracy, many East-Germans decided to flee their country, because of this the Berlin Wall was built in 1961. But in the late 80's, during the Glasnost and Perestroika and the downfall of the USSR, the East-Germans rose up again, leading to the fall of the socialist dictatorship and the opening of the Iron Curain on the 9th Ocober 89. Now, one year after that, Germany is finally reunified under chancellor Kohl. But will this peaceful revolution last ? Again, right-wingers are calling for an 4th Reich, and the former communist leaders are looking eager to the election on the 2nd December.
