Once the kingdom of Egypt is established,it's invincible in the Near East and Muslims fall into deep tragedy.
Besides wouldn't the loss of egypt pretty much cripple the muslims in that region in this period?Quite frankly, I do not see a probem - Egypt is a pretty rich land in those times and a crusader state that has all of it's lands is bound to be strong.
After 20 years of KoJ existing, it is highly likely that k_egypt WILL border a catholic province. We go back to the issue. The solution is what the mod already has, which I just said:
Crusades can't be declared on a kingdom unless it contains a holy site (which Egypt does not, for Catholic) or contains/borders a same-religion province (which Egypt is unlikely to).
So problem solved.

Btw is it possible to remove Jihads from targeting Byzantium all the time somehow? Seems like crusade values don't work correctly for Jihads.
Since what version it was lowered? And maybe it's actually easier to make Cyprus a kingdom? It's sad to see Byzantium steamrolled by the whole Sunni world in every gameThat happens because Cyprus is part of k_byzantium, and lies within range of most Muslim provinces in the Levant. We've already lowered the weight on the kingdom, but beyond that the only thing that could really be done is to make Cyprus its own de jure kingdom.
Anytime at Alexiad time-frame if only Sunnis don't get wiped out totally by Crusaders before they will start Jihads.I wish I saw Byzantium get steam-rolled once.
I usually play from the William the Conqueror bookmark. Fun fact: in that bookmark, Erik the Heathen is independent and at peace.Anytime at Alexiad time-frame if only Sunnis don't get wiped out totally by Crusaders before they will start Jihads.
