The quiet years have been good for Austria
Since we had a temporary monarch for France it was agreed to go with the status quo, white peace. The 20 year period was good to Austria with diploannexing 5 states for a total of 6 provinces. Baden, Colonge, Palintant, Kleves, and Hassen all joined the Greater Austrian Confederation. The separtist movement in Zeeland has been up to no good but their petty aspirations will not stand in the way of our scared duty to unify the faith.
In general I spend about 65% of revenues on diplomatic action. That combined with my excellent diplomatic monarchs really allows for success in diploannexations. On the diplomatic front I am happy to report that I spent heavily and got myself into a powerful alliance. Hannover, Denmark, and Poland, 2 other states I dont remember at the moment. And Poland gets Lithunania in the next 5 years I believe, so we talking an alliance that in the west begins with Zeeland and spans all the way east till you reach the borders that used to be the Golden Horder territory. In the north Dannish territory touchs the limits of explored territory and in the south Austrian lands border Venice. I think a unified Poland under ai control will be a factor, large armies without maintainance caps.
France was beset by stability problems for the last 20 years or so. Peter had the worst luck with random stab events during that time. Combined with the fact the wars of religion have started France is going to busy for the next 20 to 30 years with internal matters. As for the Sultan, its been quiet on that front. Austrian spies have kept a close eye on the OE but no real news. Although OE merchants seem to have spread to all corners of the globe. When I was travelling around looking for rich COT's I was rather taken aback by the success of OE merchants in international commerce. As for my finances, 16 % percent inflation, and 50 ducats a month income. That income is rather disappointing but I have put Austria through some very rapid reforms with my sliders being almost full narrowmindness and full decentralization.
