I'd just like to add an unashamed bump and congratulate Luxor for producing the best mod for HoI2, I loved TRP but still had a few issues with it, the compendium addressed pretty much all of them and I have played this mod more than vanilla and any other mod. I even bought arma just for this mod.

I'm really excited to hear that there is a new version coming soon (TM) and I wanted to let you know that at least one faceless lurker is about and waiting for your mod.

I'm just about to go finish my third victorious finnish continuation war :D Then I'm off to win the ostfront as Romania or Hungary again by holding the flanks for the german AIs unsupported blitzs that tend to get encircled otherwise. So much replayability!

I get this error every time I try to startup Armageddon. Does anyone know why?

"Database Mismatch(type = 7/id 2002) already used!"

gnore and retry don`t work, "HoI2 has encountered a problem and must exit" message comes up.

I launched Compendium scenario at that time...

It looks like you had a bad installation. You should retry from scratch.
 
There is a small bug in ministers file for country U69.

Minister ID 47554 (W.W. LeFlore) has the position of Minister of Armaments which causes CTD when loading a game where the minister is present.

If I may one more thing...

Recently I encountered a pretty persistent CTD bug related to the Italian surrender event. I remember it from my previous games too and I believe I somehow solved it back then by removing all expeditionary forces from Italy when it was about to surrender. This time however it didn't work and I couldn't continue (I was playing as Canada and I had troops assisting the US in the drive upwards through the Italian peninsula). Frustrated, I reloaded as the US and used the acceptal cheat to turn Italy into a puppet. Then I manually fired the Italian Surrender event and this time, it didn't cause the crash.

I don't know if anybody mentioned it before, so sorry if it was already dealt with in this thread.

I know that Luxor worked on both of those so at first I assumed that it's just TRP with a bunch of improvements from other mods (like GIP and CCIP) attached to it, is that basically true? I've also noticed that some of the obvious features of TRP such as the Kwantung Army country are missing in Compedium.

Is there like a short summary of key differences between TRP and this mod? What features of TRP were kept and which were canceled, and all that.

I believe it was around release 0.8 of TRP (maybe 0.7) when Luxor left. So wahtever TRP had at that time is what was incorporated. Anything that was in TRP after that was not put into Compedium as it was new work done that had no involvement by Luxor.

As for your first question, better of letting the history as to why stay in the past and not rehash it. It is more productive for you to concentrate on what Luxor has to offer in his mod and if that interest you.

This mod was born based on TRP 0.64, last version I worked on. But that was a long time ago. Very few things have been unchanged since then, so you can look at the changelog in the first post to get an idea of what this mod can offer.
 
Thanks for the answers. I like this mod very much, the only thing that would definitely make it better for me is if it was based on the E3 map. Yeah I know E3 is an unfinished business, but after having played on it a little bit it still sucks to have to come back to the old. Like with the E3 version of CORE, it would be very cool if someone could get around to making the E3 version of this mod. I would have probably started working on it myself if I had a lot of free time, but I don't think I'll have any free time until the summer break. :/

Also just from sheer curiosity, why did you guys break with TRP? Weren't you the ones who started the mod?

Super AI then Super AI Bundle (Hearts of Iron 1) was a project I started on my own. Luxor joined me several months after to help me out with converting the CORE 0.64 events into the Bundle. We then started TRP together! As to the why Luxor left that was his personal decision and it is not my place to comment.
 
Pretty quiet around here. Anyway, I have a quick question; what is required to be researched in order to build the "Improved Hull" and "Fire Control" attachments? Unless I missed something, I went up and down the tech tree and couldn't find anything.

Nope. According to Luxor:

"Be sure you have a 100% ARM 1.2 Vanilla before installing Compendium."
