August 12 1933

The day that American democracy died. Everyone remembers where they were when they heard of the military coup against Roosevelt by the American Liberty League and General Butler.

The coup was initially successful, but it only managed to hold on to Washington DC. Everyone expected the remaining military units to quickly squash the coup and restore the VP as President…

…But no one expected the unholy alliance between the military and the National Socialist German American Bund party under charismatic Fritz Kuhn.

The counter coup was launched exactly a month later on September 12th. The initial coup plotters were all killed, as well as most of Congress and the Supreme Court in a series of artillery “accidental strikes”.

The White House fell on October 3rd after 2 days of hard fighting. Kuhn was quickly rushed into the Oval Office under military guard and declared himself President for Life.

Eager to prevent revolts, major cities on all three coasts were quickly garrisoned; martial law was declared. Nevertheless, revolts were reported in almost every state.

The Second Civil War was on.

The center of the revolts could be said to have centered in Chicago. Douglas MacArthur commanded the loyalist forces, dubbed the “Bonus Army”, composed of mainly WW1 vets. Other centers of revolt were in New York City, Boston, Miami, Los Angeles, and Seattle.

Hard fighting ensued, but one by one, each center of resistance fell. MacArthur himself fell after personally defending City Hall with just a pistol. Many of the Bonus Army surrendered en-mass after their defeat, claiming they never wanted to fight against the Bund in the first place.

Throughout 1934 and 1935 revolts flared up in the cities every so often but were put down each time. It seemed that the Bund’s control was concrete enough so martial law was suspended in hopes of encouraging people to go back to work.

Jan 1936 would see the ruling cabal emerge for the public to see.

Scary indeed. This Fritz Kuhn gives me the creeps. Even the name freeks me out. Good job selecting that pic btw. It makes him look much more sinister than he probably is.

The Dream Team Cometh

January 1936 saw the public entrance of the “ruling cabal”:

Erza Pound as Sec State
William Pelley as Sec Def
Kuhn as Attorney General
Hiram Evans as Intelligence Minister
Sage as Chief of Staff
Althaus as Chief of the Army
Colescott as Chief of the Navy
Lindbergh as Chief of the Air force

Early January also saw the release of Kuhn’s “biography” called The Nationalist. In it describes his plan for the Americas:

“People call me racist, an anti-Semite. That is not true in the least; I am a Nationalist. I believe people are the same, and must serve the state to the best of their abilities.”

The rest was a longwinded version of how he dreamed of an America stretching from the North Pole to the Panama canal.

The world held it’s breath, waiting to see what the American Fuhrer would do.

Which files did you mod in order for the US to start out with interventionist policies e.t.c. and how did you get the ministers facist?

I'm interested cause i'd like to do some of this stuff, change the political stance of a nation e.t.c.

The Robespierre cheat'll let you move sliders anyway you want, and the ministers change as your government changes.
