All,

An update.

The scenario will be PE's 1520, modified. When I track down my old file on Tonio's stat site, I will go over it, then add it to the first post alongside a change list. We will begin next Wednesday at 1900 CET and play a regular four hours, with the option of continuing longer where feasible.

At the moment, we are:

Definite
HG
John
Pepsi
Delian
Diablosrogue
Krisz

Likely
Tonio

Considering
Damocles
Aladar
TC Pilot

Mulliman

The roster will remain open until Friday, at which time I will roll for countries. Folks may join anytime between Friday and the first session, but they'll have to take the leavings.

After I have rolled, I urge everyone to check the scenario and make suggestions and requests. I am always open to argument. However, I can only guarantee even reasonable changes if they are brought to my attention by Monday evening. At a minimum, we will be using my modified leader table and other revisions, which include the following general changes (the specifics will be posted when I have finally found them):

-Ottoman leaders boosted (specifically Suleyman, the Koprolus, Sokullu)
-Austrian leaders boosted (specifically Wallenstein and Eugune)
-Frederick the Great extended to 1786
-Turenne's start date modified (this is a bug-a patch fixed it, but this save was generated using an earlier game version)
-Blucher split into two leaders, leaving a large gap in his service, and stats reduced (this may not survive, as having a potent leader is the best way to represent the potency of Prussia's army, but is historical)
-English leaders reduced (specifically Marlborough and Wellington for historical reasons; Nelson and Cochrane for reasons of game balance)
-A general reduction in the stats of super admirals
-A reduction to Venice (it will lose the enhancements I talked Peter into giving it before Paradox made it in an island with a blockadable strait-mainly, its fort, part of its fleet, some of its factories and its manpower; this is especially the case if it is not played)
-A reduction of manpower and tax base in Denmark (debatable, only if unplayed-Peter did this to make it more attractive to humans)
-A reduction of manpower in England (Peter added MP to encourage England to fight on the continent, but this is made unnecessary by the locked land slider)
-Spanish bankruptcies slept (will use gold rule)
-ToT slept (if this isn't done in the scenario already-can't remember)
-Slavonic to both Austria and the OE (possibly Magyar to the OE as well-we shall see)
-Possible tech changes, especially to trade/infra, and DP changes (not sure-again, I need to find my old file to figure out whether this needed to be done in PE 1520 after the patches or not)

Oh :(
I can't play at wednesday from 19:00 to 20:00 GMT 0 since i have a class in that hour :( that's the only issue I have.
Is it possible to change the hour possibly to 20:15 (time to get off the class and get home) ? That would mean 21:15 in CET.

thx for inviting HG, but i dont think ive got time each week for it! :(

oh, you start next week already. Then i think i join later, when someone gets out.

Aladar, T-40 rocks.

6 is not really enough. Spain UK France Austria OE and Russia.

No sweden ? no brandeburg ? no venice ? no poland ? no netherlands ?

Good old Hoggy, nice to see you're still alive and kicking. I was hoping that you were, but given that you're around, I estimate, 70 years of age, I feared the worst. Especially due to your heavy binge drinking and all. But good to see my fears having been in vain.

Anyway. Thanks for the invite... but I sadly can't sign up for something like this anymore, at least not at the time. And certainly not with this pathetic line-up. Where's Slargos? Damocles? FAL? Archduke? Frederik? Hell, even a Dutch incompetent bastard like Seen would be an improvement over these kiddie no-bodies.

J/k, of course. Or am I...? Either way, I'll try to remember to follow this. And I may even sub for you every now and then, though it will be at your own peril...as I haven't played this game in ages, and, as you may recall, wasn't even that good at it when I played it 2-3 times per week.

Cheers!

-Austrian leaders boosted (specifically Wallenstein and Eugune)
-English leaders reduced (specifically Marlborough and Wellington for historical reasons; Nelson and Cochrane for reasons of game balance)

Curious about these changes. Will Eugene be a new napoleon or what? And what historical reason made marlborough and wellington get reduced statistically? Also why are you boosting wallenstein? It will get almost as strong as Gustav Adolf if you do (and mind you, but wally only won a single battle against the swedes and because he was defending a castle against tired troops).

My God, you're all a bunch of plodding proletarians now, no time for the important things, no sense of perspective.

gredence,

Happy to have you.

We have another new player, Diablosrogue, who for some reason can't post in the EU II forum.

Mulli,

If you show up, great to have you.

If you don't, I'll positively die of shock.

I love you hoggyboggy :).

All,

So Aladar can't join us on Wednesdays, Tonio can't join us this Wednesday, Krisz can't join us this Wednesday and Diablo needs a time change.

We're in great shape.

I will hold off on rolling countries. We may need to wait another week or two in hopes that Krisz and Tonio can join.

Is 21:15 CET too late for other Europeans?

So you play which day? Wednesday, Thursday or Friday?

HAL,

I think we'll go ahead with Wednesday. Would love to have you.

This depends on whether Europeans are content with 21:15, however, as I'd really like to pick a time that Diablo can play.
