I'm playing a reformed celtic character in a duchy level broken world. It's been about 37 years in game since I'm started and I'm sick and tired of 4/5ths of my children dying to either "an accident" or an infected wound due to mysteriously becoming wounded before they've turned 16. I've looked at others with the celtic religion both reformed and not and it's the same across france and iberia. Just about every child dead of an accident or an infected wound and nearly all the rest having one eye, a hook hand or a peg leg. All other religions don't have nearly this amount of dead children, usually less than a quarter dead and usually to illness. My best guess is some event exclusive to celtic children that either kills or wounds them strikes far too often to be balanced. It's almost enough to kill off entire dynasties.

I think it would be pretty great if the cause could be isolated and removed.

i would also prefer if something were done about the frankly ridiculous amounts of celtic children, given that there's no longer this bug going around to cull the majority.

I'm not sure if I have the fix on my game, but like others my children in the Celtic faith are dying like crazy. I have V4.05.4 and my Cheksum is DIVY. I have 14 kids and 7 have died, 6 before adulthood. So is it fixed, or if so, do I have the wrong version for it to be fixed?

That's easily among the most blatant use of cheats I've ever seen in a post (Look at me looking like an idiot after you show us its a clean, ironman game...)

Seriously though I don't feel like I've had this problem in my games : Kids are dying, sure, but it doesn't seem to be hitting Celtic characters more than others. I'd wager its a plot from those pesky Saxon immigrants to become the majority population in the Celtic counties though. Damn Saxons, raiding our lands, stealing our titles...

Yes I admit, the first generation, when I create a character, I make him super awesome, using every cheat possible, just to start, but afterward using no furthur cheats on the game, however, I've never had that many die and even the ones that survived have issues like one handed, or missing an eye. And after reading others, I just wondered if that was actually an issue still.

And actually if I could do Ironman with Celtic Culture I actually would. oh well.
