Well, this looks very promising!

Thank you,

well next week I will be working on this project again. From next week and onwards I will have loads of time at my hands again. I had a bonus computer project on school but I quit it because I wanted some more serious coding. Because what they call "coding" means creating endless tabels in MS Excel...

So expect this project to be finished in a couple weeks.

wow

When do you think the release date will be?

I don't know. I may release an earlier version but that won't act pretty historical since I need to completly remake religions and cultures but atleast you can play with the new nations.

If I will release such an "alpha" version it will be probably there in the next 2 weeks (depends on how much time I will have on my hands)

A question for the community since I don't really care.

Should I include Byzantium playable from the start and at war with the Ottomans or just give them cores?
I suppose that depends on what starting date you have in mind.

If you elect to start the game just days before the fall of Constantinople, there's hardly a reason to even want to play the Byzantines.

If you start well before, however, you might want to actually give them territories - as well as semi-independent vassals. The Morea, for example. That might make an interesting game - a cunning Byzantine emperor might be able to harness the power of the West against the Ottoman onslaught. Some events might be needed to make that happen, though.

And just to be pedantic: never in their whole history did the Byzantines refer to themselves as the Byzantine Empire... You might just want to change that.

This looks really nice!
And best of all, it's not dead! ;)

Keep it up, this might just have made me inspired enough to end my 5 month exile from the Rome modding world :eek:o

Great to here that,

also is there anyone willing to port this to VV once I've finished this?
