Do you guys have any concrete plans for the future?

If not, what about joining the DH team? They have absorbed the largest part of the community, both when it comes to fans and developers. It is obvious it will be worked on for a long time to come.

Right now they are requesting more people to join them.

Consider it guys. Your skills and resources are needed over there, and I'm sure it will pay out for you as well.
 
Woa! Hold it! What about the money i spend on IC? There is not one game working properly, hwne fully updated and trying to play it with IC. If they abandon this completly )which it seems they have already done, seeing the utter silence in the IC forum), it means i can never use the awesome ic techtree again!!! I want to play IC!!!
 
IC is my favorite of the big 3 currently out there. Was just playing an awesome USA game but CTD, and came here, oh well. Weird how I can play a game as Italy into 45 with no problems, and then other times I CTD every few days. Anyone else have this? Sry for OT.

Thats good to hear, but when you say developing games, consider not fragmenting the fan base, moding and developer resources even more.

Think of it, when the Europa Engine was outsorced it resulted in one game based EUIII and three based on HOI2 Arma. The one based on EUIII is still in development and has a total of 25 developers working on it. 9 of those are coders!

Compromises are always possible, and Magna Mundi is a success story regarding just that.

Really guys, OP does bring up a very important matter for the future of IC: More cooperation with the DH team.

Why? Because aside from maybe a one last patch to add more db content and perhaps fix some bugs, I doubt there will be much more memorable features to be added to IC. This is very sad because, I think the IC Devs and for sure lots of other players will agree with me, IC is not just a standalone mod. IC brings a different spice to the HoI2 game worlds and its tech tree being one of its principal monument of glory! We DONT want IC to just be Dead. after such a short time of fun...

Joining the DH team would maybe too radical for everyone including Pdox, but more cooperation, more integration with the DH team can only benefit IC and DH!! As said in a post above DH has the strongest HoI2 community right now and often incorporates fan work or content suggestions, meaning that this faster content addition time would benefit the IC database if only free exchange of information exists between the 2 teams! And exchanges could work both ways, the new HQ command structure is a fine example of thing to exchange with DH! This system in a way is more realistic in a way than the HoI3 command system! Plus combination of coding experience from both parties could lead to some engine breakthroughs, imagine things we could get if only multiple coders would work on the old HoI2 engine!

IC and DH doesnt need to merge to become greater! Both can retain its personality and yet gain more potential from a better cooperation between, both games, both teams and both communities! We ALL need this!
 
Gentlemen, I've played many strategy games in my lifetime & I have to say that Iron cross is the best out there and many would agree, so saying that I am currently working on a mod that's compatible with the windows 7 version understand, that when you have a new operating windows system (microsoft) that they have issues with their own systems but that's microsoft for ya.

now I will be using the core 2 mod revised with all pics in color this will only be for IC expansion it's not that there's no mod out there no one wants to invest time to make it the xp version can be modified with ease but the windows 7 & above are not because developers have moved on to other projects let us not forget this is about profits however there are die hard war gamers like myself out there

as you can see I am an unknown to pdox but I do some coding & graphics (self taught) I've modded many games but didn't publish any because of copyright or permissions from the game developers so when it's done I will post the link any feed back you can message me here thanks for listening & I'll see you on the battlefield.
 
The AOD team already said they are developing something. If you guys are not working on the same project and planing on developing something by your self, then we will probably have two other games based on ARMA this year. Five HOI2 conversions...when will this madness stop...?

No. AFAIK Paradox said there would be no new Europa games.
