The game crash after a number of years

I have the same problem that I hade with Hearts of Iron and Europa Universalis. After a number of years the game crash, this always happens the same date if I load a game that I saved a couple of years earlier.

How can I fix this enjoying problem?

If all fails you could try waiting for the next patch, Paradox has been working alot on save game crashes. Dunno when it'll be finished and released though.
